As requested, here are some pictures of the Family ornament I made.

And this is for Doreen (you can see her little bird nest on her blog)
Melissa made 25 of them, to give to her teachers and friends. She finished them just in time, to hand out on the last day of school before winter break. I did hot-glue them all together for her to help her get them done. This one is mine 🙂

  2. I think yours is much prettier. I like the look of the torn paper. There was just no time to try and go for that with these, since there were so many of them. And because these were so last minute, there was no time to put the green bows on the ones that Melissa was giving away. Mine is the only one with the bow.
Crocheting is Melissa’s new passion, so this was the perfect project for her.

  3. I love that Melissa is becoming crafty like you. These are such a fun idea. I popped in to Doreen’s blog. But I thought it would be odd for me to post there since I don’t really know her. She has some fun stuff there though.

I think Melissa’s is perfect. What a thoughtful gift to give everyone. Especially because she crocheted all those nests for them. LOVE it!

  5. She’s so proud that everyone likes her nests 🙂

And Anjeanette, I can’t speak for Doreen, but EVERYONE is welcome to comment on MY blog, whether they know me or not. Sometimes you just have to jump in, and it’s nice to get to know someone, even if it’s through a blog (theirs or your own).

What a beautiful family ornament. I love this so much. And the bird’s nest is also beautiful, but the thought behind it is wonderful!

  12. Thanks so much, everyone.
Treva, I’ll have to look through the peanuts, to see if there are any nice looking ones left. If so, I’m sure Melissa would love to make you a little nest.

As for the Family ornament, I think I wrote the names on a strip of paper first and then used it as a guide to get them even around the ornament.
